The regional and divisional strategy teams are pivotal in shaping Nomura’s longer term strategy for Wholesale. The work of the strategy team includes market entry strategy, business performance review, analysis of Nomura’s operating model, acquisition screening and market & competitor analysis. The team works directly with senior management across the businesses to determine the right strategy for reaching Nomura’s Wholesale aspirations in the rapidly changing market environment.

Experience : 0 - 2 years
Qualification : B.Tech, Dual Degree, Integrated M.Bachelors in Economics or Finance or equivalent students from top tier institute

Work as a part of the Wholesale Strategy division on global, regional and divisional projects
Support strategy team seniors / business on a range of projects related to Investment Banking and Global Markets verticals within Wholesale division:
Business performance reviews and assessment/formulation of strategic options to grow and improve profitability
Projects on business optimization, restructuring and cost efficiency
Evaluation of in-organic growth opportunities / acquisition screening
Analysis of the competitive and macro / market environment based on public data, proprietary information and industry reports
Monitoring and analysis of quarterly financial results of competitors
Most of the projects require working closely with strategy team members, business heads, finance and other functional teams in different regions; High quality communication skills
Ability to multi-task efficiently and meet project deadlines
Deep interest in macroeconomics, global markets and investment banking


Strong analytical and excel skills
Strong with PowerPoint presentations and Excel

Develop financial plans and deliver presentations to clients as needed.
Collaborate with team leaders to gather data.
Maintain and update client data, and revise plans annually or as needed in response to significant changes.

Pillar 3: Client Service
Obtain necessary documents and supplementary information from clients or team leaders during onboarding.
Conduct purchase cost analyses upon request.
Conduct regular meetings with clients and address their inquiries and resolve issues as needed.

Salary Range:
Freshers: 8 to 10 lac pa ( excluding bonus)
Relevant work experience: 10-12 lac pa ( excluding bonus)

Who we are looking for:
State Street Performance & Attribution team is looking for an experienced Performance & Attribution Analyst to lead the client relationship activities for highly complex clients, with a specific focus on Asset Managers. Must have a good experience of leading diverse onboarding, implementation and transformation roles in addition to BAU responsibilities. The candidate need to have detailed understandings of Investment Performance Measurement and the ability to deep dive into Attribution Analysis (Equity, Multi Asset and Fixed Income).

As an
AVP in the Performance delivery team
, you will play a pivotal role in leading operations teams as well as driving client experience. You will combine
deep subject matter expertise

to drive quality, efficiency, and scalability in our service delivery. Your key responsibilities and expectations will include:

  • Own new Client as well as service onboarding including liaising with Product as well as Technology teams
  • Good hold of the applications, with a techno functional mindset to solution for evolving client and operational requirements
  • Train and lead with expertise on the performance domain, including attribution modelling for fixed income and multi asset class portfolios as well as GIPS compliance standards
  • Engage with internal as well as external stakeholders to influence positive outcomes for the client

  • Drive a proactive 'Risk Excellence' culture within the business, by conducting business risk control self assessments on time and ensuring adequate risk mitigation measures in place

  • Strong understanding of the investment decision making process of the client, and actively participate in providing apt solutions to client needs

  • Post graduate /professionally qualified in the area of finance
  • CFA or CIPM preferred
  • Strong knowledge of investment management industry, Performance measurement methodologies and platforms essential
  • Strong knowledge of asset valuations, including complex structured products
