Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Test Engineer with 4–8 years of experience in Android-based smartphone testing , mobile application testing , and QA methodologies . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Android log analysis, bug tracking (e.g., JIRA), and both manual and automation testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for Android smartphones and mobile applications.
• Perform functional, regression, performance, and system testing on Android platforms.
• Analyze Android logs (Logcat, Crash logs, etc.) to troubleshoot and identify root causes of issues.
• Collaborate closely with development, product, and design teams to ensure product quality.
• Report, track, and manage defects using tools such as JIRA or similar.
• Develop and maintain test documentation including test cases, bug reports, and QA metrics.
• Perform OTA update testing, compatibility testing, and localization testing as needed.
• Provide mentorship to junior testers and contribute to test strategy improvements.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 4–8 years of experience in mobile device testing , specifically Android smartphones and applications.
• Strong knowledge of Android OS , ADB commands , and log analysis tools .
• Experience with manual testing and familiarity with automation tools/frameworks is a plus (e.g., Appium, Espresso).
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies , SDLC , and STLC .
• Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools like JIRA.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
