Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Strategic Planning professional to join our Commercial Solutions Strategic Operations team. The role involves supporting strategic / operational plans and initiatives for various business areas in Commercial Solutions Global Business Unit and creating strategic materials for executive meetings. Candidate will work closely with the extended Strategic Operations team, BU Leads, and other key internal stakeholders in the broader IQVIA organization.

Essential Functions

  • Support driving and steering the annual planning cycle and multi-year strategic planning in alignment with organizational goals and objectives
  • Continuously monitor industry trends, analyse global and local industry reports, and adopt best practices to inform strategic planning efforts
  • Provide industry specific market insights, market landscape, competitors/customer analysis based on the project requirement through desk/secondary research
  • Provide insightful data-driven strategic recommendations to leadership based on analysis, and use data and domain knowledge to identify strategic opportunities
  • Actively drive / support preparation for executive meetings (e.g., monthly business reviews, operating reviews, and other regular or ad-hoc executive meetings)
  • Prepare and present business cases, financial projections, and feasibility assessments for new initiatives
  • Engage in business development and M&A projects by identifying potential targets and/or supporting due diligence processes
  • Establish collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to support and proactively address business
  • Formulate detailed project plans, facilitate team meetings, foster collaboration, and ensure adherence to workflow processes
  • Monitor progress of projects, including achievements, action items, risks/concerns and resolution of issues

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Life Sciences (Pharmaceutical and/or Medical Devices) or a related field
  • A master’s/MBA degree is preferred
  • 3-7years of experience in strategic planning, management consulting, M&A advisory or related field
  • Exceptional project management skills with the capacity to manage multiple initiatives concurrently
  • Proven communication and presentation skills with a focus on translating insights and data into actionable recommendations for leaders
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analysis skills, with experience in addressing complex and diverse business problems (strategic, commercial, operational, organizational)
  • Advanced data analysis and visualization skills
  • A passion for continuous learning
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs mainly PowerPoint and Excel Analysis
  • Flex across multiple topics and management of changing priorities, demanding timelines
  • Ability to be self-directed, prioritize opportunities and perform multiple tasks
  • Good to have experience in Business Intelligence tools (PowerBI, Spotfire, Excel automation)

Criticality of the role to the business:

Building the semiconductor facility and ecosystem in India for the first time presents a multifaceted challenge. This requires managing complex operations on the ground, executing at a rapid pace, mobilizing resources at scale, and managing a diverse array of stakeholders to ensure the program remains on schedule.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with extensive operational experience and a demonstrated ability to navigate complex site management tasks effectively. This includes coordinating with various stakeholders, facilitating communication, and ensuring alignment across all parties involved.

Key Deliverable:

Program Management:

  • Semiconductor Fab Upgradation: Drive and manage the program of semiconductor fabrication plant’s modernization including adding new equipment, enhancing cleanroom standards, manufacturing execution system and software, upgrading process technologies, or expanding capacity to manufacture more advanced chips
  • Own Project Timelines: Collaborate with various internal teams and project partners to achieve the defined project milestones.
  • Program Management: Technology Partnerand internal stakeholders to achieve 100% compliance to Technology license agreement and key milestones.
  • Risk mitigation and Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve any risk or challenges that can arise.
  • Reporting and Facilitate Decision Making : Manage Project reviews with Senior management and facilitate Senior management in decision making with analysis and presentations.
  • Crisis management: Effectively manage any crises that arise collaborating with senior management to develop and implement appropriate response strategies.
  • Project Update to Government: Work with Internal Government Affairs Team to facilitate in providing Project update to the state government.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve operational issues or challenges that arise on-site. Implement corrective actions and process improvements as necessary.
  • Reporting and Feedback: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management regarding project progress, challenges, and milestones achieved

Essential Attributes:

  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex operational activities, with a strong background in effective site management and timely problem resolution
  • Demonstrated excellence in liaising with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring seamless coordination and alignment
  • Self-motivated and proactive , with the ability to execute initiatives at a fast pace with minimal oversight from management
  • Adaptable and resilient , able to navigate challenges and ambiguity in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
  • Ability to effectively represent TEPL in various engagements with key stakeholders, serving as a credible ambassador for the organization
  • Strongwritten and verbal communication skills , enabling clear and persuasive interactions with all levels of stakeholders
  • Collaborative leadership style , fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement among the site management team

Qualification:

  • MS or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering / Materials Science / Chemical Engineering. MBA is a plus.

Desired Experience level:

  • 15-20 years of experience in Semiconductor operations management, with a strong background in overseeing manufacturing or industrial facilities
