What the role entails

  • Solar Equipment Sourcing :
  • Identify suitable vendors and procure solar-specific equipment and consumables essential for plant functionality (modules, panels, inverters, trackers, CSP mirrors, cabling, spare parts, specialized tools, PPE’s etc)
  • Service Provider Identification and Management :

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers, ensuring reliable procurement channels and consistent quality
  • Cost Optimization & securing favourable terms:
  • Develop cost-effective procurement strategies, conducting internal costing assessment, negotiating competitive prices, exploring alternate suppliers, and ensuring optimal terms and conditions in favour of the company
  • Collaboration and Communication :
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, effectively communicating with Asset Management and site teams to align procurement strategies with project objectives
  • Preparation of MIS
  • Develop and maintain detailed MIS reports for solar function to effectively track procurement status, encompassing budget versus actual expenditure analysis, offers status, and procurement progress updates
